Dear guests, in this section you can find the reviews on Dveri.

Potrayed here are also our warm memories we share with you…

Absolutely wonderful place

The restaurant was just found by chance, but will remain as one of best memories about Sarajevo. Tastiest tomato soup, adorable steak, great atmosphere. It’s a pity they don’t have a network in other countries. Would love to come back just for this restaurant.

Wonderful food, tremendous atmosphere

From previous reviews, we had high hopes for Dveri. It was better than the reviews! The service was superior. Attentive without being intrusive, engaging and informative. The food is very special. Cooked to order and just like home. DO NOT pass up the homemade bread. Or the Sarajevska chorba or, the crowning entree, the Dveri steak! Three visits for us and every one was special.

Thank you Dveri for doing what you do!

The best restaurant in Bascharshija

This is probably the best restaurant in Bascharshija (presumably also in central Sarajevo), and one of the few places offering a variety of dishes for vegetarians. It has cozy and authentic atmosphere. The food is home-made and absolutely delicious. Make sure you try the self made pita (oven baked bread with lots of butter). Veggie soup with egg and sour cream, grilled veggies with butter and garlic, and stuffed peppers with creamy cheese are also highly recommended. The home made herbal tea and house white wine are lovely. For meat lovers we could recommend the beans with sausages.

Like-home-cooked meals

Dveri is near and dear to my heart. We bring our family of four and all of our visitors here because the food is great and the waiters are so kind. Bonus, they have pork fillets and pork sausage.

Oh yeah, the rolls, can’t forget those buttery fist-sized balls of wonder! Brunch is also excellent, and they have very good rakija.

Excellent in every way!

I looked for this restaurant based on its rating/feedbacks and definitely don’t regret it, a very good choice. Service was great both in the friendly treatment and in attention, the atmosphere is very pleasant, perfect for a dinner, and the menu has a wide variety of options, really tasty food. Also, it’s not an expensive restaurant, especially considering its level.

Highly recommended!

36 hours in… Sarajevo

Head for Bascarsija – the heart of Ottoman Sarajevo – and take a table at Dveri (4) (Prote Bakovica 12; dveri.co.ba), a delightfully authentic spot with a garden-like glass-roofed terrace. Popular with locals and tourists alike, it needs to be booked in advance. Try the Dveri steak: rolled veal with smoked beef and cheese and grilled vegetables (£8).

The gates to gourmet heaven

For several years already, a small restaurant in the heart of Bascarsija welcomes their guests with wide open door. They leave full and pleased, with thoughts of when to return. Dveri restaurant is one of the smallest in Sarajevo. Limitation of space does not make it a place of limited pleasures. You enjoy it to the limits you choose, depending on whether you want to eat less and be weight-conscious or relax and enjoy hedonistic surroundings and service.

Dveri, Sarajevo: A Funky Setting for a Fabulous Dinner

In Sarajevo’s labyrinthine Old Town, this tiny gem of a restaurant is worth a visit for the decor alone, but the mixed Balkan menu is the reason to stay.
